2022 Elite Extra Edition Baseball marks another installment of Panini’s long-running prospect line. The checklist features 2022 draft picks, other upcoming prospects and some names from other parts of the world seldom seen on baseball cards thus far.
As has been the case for more than a decade, autographs. Hobby boxes have eight signed cards across just five packs. Boxes also deliver a pair of memorabilia cards and five Opti-Chrome cards.
2022 Elite Extra Edition Baseball Checklist Overview
The base set shows a lot of Elite Extra Edition’s scope. It’s one of the early places to catch many members of the year’s draft class. Collectors can expect more of baseball’s up-and-comers as well as members of the Dominican Prospect League. In recent years, several DPL standouts have appeared in EEE before they were drafted.
Standard base cards come serial numbered to 999. A variety of parallels add color and patterns as well as smaller print runs.
Hobby packs are the only place to find Optic versions of base cards, giving the set a chromium twist as well. With these come more parallels as well.
Signatures is where much of the product’s autographs are found. This includes the possibility of on-card ink.

Among the other inserts on the checklist is On Campus. The illustrated designs evoke similar vibes as Downtown. However, instead of being focused on a city, these use spots from players’ colleges.
